The below actions should be taken within the last day business day for voluntary terminations and immediately for non-voluntary terminations. 

Notifications

  1. Inform relevant team members and departments about the employee's departure
  2. Notify third-party services/providers about the employee's departure if necessary

Access Control

  1. Revoke access to all company systems and applications
  2. Remove the employee from distribution lists and company communication platforms

Laptop & Software

  1. Retrieve laptop 
  2. Perform secure wiping of all company data from the laptop

Exit Formalities for Voluntary Terminations

  1. Conduct an exit interview to gather feedback
  2. Ensure acknowledgment of any non-disclosure or non-compete agreements

Follow-up Actions

Backup & Archiving

  1. Backup necessary data and emails associated with the employee's accounts
  2. Archive these backups securely, ensuring they are encrypted

Monitoring & Logging

  2. Provide details on completing benefits enrollment and payroll items
  3. Provide training on company-specific applications and platforms
